After battling age-related health problems, veteran Tamil actor Delhi Ganesh passed away. He was eighty years old. At approximately 11 p.m. on November 9, he passed away. The funeral is reportedly scheduled for today, November 10. “We are deeply saddened to share that our father, Mr. Delhi Ganesh, passed away on November 9 at around 11 p.m.” was the heartfelt statement released by Ganesh’s family to confirm his passing. His dead remains are presently at his home in Chennai’s Ramapuram.
Delhi Ganesh became one of the most adored performers in Tamil cinema after appearing in over 400 films over the course of a career spanning more than 40 years. He made a lasting impact on the industry and was well-known for his effortless ability to play a variety of roles, including villain, comedian, and sympathetic supporting character.
In 1976, Ganesh made his cinematic debut in the well-known Pattina Pravesam, which was helmed by the acclaimed K. Balachander, who also gave him the stage moniker “Delhi Ganesh.” He rose to fame in the 1980s, and although he had a brief lead role in Engamma Maharani (1981), his extended supporting acting career was what brought him international acclaim and admiration. Sindhu Bhairavi (1985), Nayakan (1987), Michael Madana Kamarajan (1990), Aha..! (1997), and Tenali (2000) are a few of his most famous parts.

The Tamil Nadu state government presented Delhi Ganesh with the Kalaimamani award in 1994 in recognition of his artistic contributions. Ganesh also served in the Indian Air Force from 1964 to 1974 before to going into the film business.
Delhi Ganesh continued to amuse audiences with his distinct flair as he expanded into television and short films in the last years of his career. He also belonged to the South India Nataka Sabha, a theatre group based in Delhi. His cameo as Alfred Pennyworth in the short film What If Batman Was from Chennai stands out among his notable appearances.
