Halle Berry, who won the Best Actress Oscar in 2002, wore the identical dress when she walked the runway at the Elie Saab Fall 2025 presentation in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. She told the audience that she had met this designer twenty-two years prior. She was in the front row that day when the firm unveiled its “1001 Seasons of Elie Saab” collection. With 300 looks and performances by Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, Camila Cabello, Nancy Ajram, and Amr Diab, the event was full of surprises.

Halle Berry went to the end of the runway and put her hand over her heart after telling the announcer the backstory of her outfit. The satin fabric appeared to flow behind her as the train of her gown caught the wind.

Berry later posted a touching message and a video of her runway moment to Instagram. “There are moments in life that just happen and they change our lives forever,” she captioned the photo. For me, one of those experiences was winning the Academy Award while wearing my gown from @eliesaabworld! We’ve been steadfastly connected for 22 years, Mr. Saab, and I appreciate you being a part of my life’s fabric! Celebrating you and your 1001 seasons was an honour. I hope you continue to be happy, creative, and glamorous for many years to come.

Halle wore a gorgeous gown with a rich, deep crimson skirt that complemented her skin tone and a delicately embroidered sheer bodice with floral accents. The lace top gave a seductive yet sophisticated touch, and the skirt was expertly made to highlight her lovely contours and slim waist. With each step, the floor-length hemline flowed behind her, adding a dramatic touch.

Halle used glitzy makeup and a sleek top knot for her hair to finish the ensemble. She added the ideal final touch by adding a pair of diamond earrings, which further enhanced her look.

A unique place in fashion history is occupied by Halle Berry’s outfit. It was also once on display with other classic costumes at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.
