In partnership with artificial intelligence (AI), BharatGen, India’s in-house large language model (LLM), is fostering innovation and improving the delivery of public services, according to Union Minister of State for Science and Technology (Independent Charge) Dr. Jitendra Singh. He mentioned this during a gathering on Wednesday.
Dr. Jitendra Singh stressed the need of public-private sector cooperation for the nation’s future development during a session at the National Learning Week, which was co-hosted for staff members from all levels of science ministries and departments in the nation’s capital.
The next phase of technological advancement in India is being shaped by the convergence of private sector innovations, government efforts, and public sector needs.

“Using the private sector’s experience in conjunction with government programs like BharatGen and AI applications will open the door for scalable, inclusive, and effective solutions that are suited to the various needs of the nation,” Dr. Singh continued.
Dr. Singh went on to say that the government is establishing a supportive atmosphere that encourages innovation, helps new businesses, and makes sure that technical developments are in line with national interests. We can achieve scalable and sustainable solutions that benefit the entire nation when public demands meet the creativity of the private sector and government policies facilitate growth.
The minister also highlighted the continued cooperation between public and private sectors in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLMs), stressing how important these initiatives are to preserving India’s competitive advantage in the global IT market.

Singh pointed out that technologies like information technology, the internet, mobile technology, artificial intelligence, and machine learning have the potential to drastically alter people’s lives as their expectations and aspirations for administration and government continue to rise. Direct communication between the government and the public can also be facilitated by these technologies.
He underlined that efficient use of technology can result in the intended enhancements to public services and facilitate the prompt settlement of associated complaints.
