Police Make Another Arrest in Brampton Hindu Temple Attack

After a violent protest at a temple on Gore Road in Brampton, Canada, Inderjeet Singh Gossal, 35, was taken into custody by Peel Regional Police on suspicion of assault with a weapon. On November 3, tensions between protestors and counter-protesters increased to the point that a violent altercation broke out.

Another participant in the violent demonstration at the Brampton temple has been arrested and charged by investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau and the Strategic Investigative Team (SIT), according to an official release from Peel Regional Police. During a protest on Sunday, November 3, 2024, Peel Regional Police broke up a fight at a temple on Brampton’s Gore Road. According to the statement, the protest turned violent and violent as hostilities between the opposing groups increased.

According to the police statement, they have opened an inquiry into a number of offences that were committed during the protest, several of which were caught on camera. This includes those who attacked others with sticks and flags.

One of the people has been identified as Brampton resident Inderjeet Gossal, 35. On November 8, he was taken into custody and accused of assault with a weapon. He is expected to appear later at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton after being freed under specific restrictions. The statement added that further arrests are expected and that police are still going through hundreds of tapes from the incidents in an effort to find more culprits.

Canadian Member of Parliament Chandra Arya denounced on Saturday the attack by Khalistani extremists on November 3 on Hindu devotees at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton. He accused politicians of distorting this event as a Hindu-Sikh issue in his statement.
